This is an hour-long Yin Yoga session.
The recent events around the world have caused panic, confusion, and anxiety to many of us. The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has been very stressful. Fear and anxiety about the disease are overwhelming and maybe causing strong emotions to both adults and children.
To help calm and balance the mind, I chose to do a Yin Yoga session for our students in Urban Ashram Manila. To calm the mind, we still the body. My aim is for my students to learn to let go of their worries and focus on the deep stretches and their bodies and breathe. The goal here is to find deeper relaxation, and not to have that constant feeling of anxiety.
The calming effects and the deep stretches during the class will undoubtedly spill into the rest of the day and beyond the yoga mat, leaving people anxiety-free and with a better immune system.
